WHK has provided consultant services in planning and transportation to the Florida Department of Transportation since formation of the firm in 1983. For the most part, the projects have been located in either District IV (Broward to Indian River Counties) and District VI ( Miami Dade and Monroe Counties). Consultant efforts have involved transportation planning, comprehensive planning, growth management, traffic data collection, socio-economic studies, traffic engineering, Level of Service analysis, capacity analysis, travel demand modeling, corridor analysis, travel time and delay studies, intersection improvements, roadway improvement programming, technical support and public involvement.
